Elsemieke Plasmeijer

Elsemieke Plasmeijer is a dermatologist and epidemiologist since 2016. She works in the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam and also in Leiden. She worked in Brisbane during her PhD on the role of HPV in squamous cell carcinoma and during a post doc on naevi and early melanoma and skin cancer in organ transplant recipients.
Elsemieke is specialized in skin cancer, with a special interest in skin cancer in immunosuppressed patients and also in skin cancer prevention. She runs a special clinic caring for dermatological problems after organ transplantation and is a board member of SCOPE, the European Network on skin problems in organ transplant recipients.
